Job Description:

We are currently searching for a simulation scientist intern who has a suitable experience in process simulation and applied CFD. We collaborate in a corporate group that develops, researches, and conducts strategic engineering work that has a corporate wide effect on engineering practices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You develop a strong understanding of the corporate infrastructure of hardware and software directly related to engineering work being done in the company.
  • You collaborate in a project specific teams that produce support or consulting services for urgent engineering needs that cannot be addressed by the current production engineering structure.
  • You help current team in ongoing projects by conducting simulations and generating post processing reports.

Your Qualifications:

Are you a motivated self-starter with the dedication to work independently and as part of a team, and an ability to multi-task? Do you have the flexibility and adaptability, to make decisions quickly? Do you thrive in dynamic environments with multiple changing priorities, where prioritization and time management are necessary tools? You may be a good fit for our team, if you also meet the following requirements:

  • Ph.D candidate in Chemical, Environmental or Manufacturing disciplines. Preferably who plan to finish his/her Ph.D by Dec. 2023 or April 2024.
  • Having proven knowledge in Renewable energy related research like in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage or Emission control.
  • Shown technical, analytical, and empirical skills.
  • Hands on experience in building process simulations in Aspen Hysys.
  • Proven background using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) including multiphase models.
  • Consistent record in conducting research and producing viable solutions for engineering problems based on simulations.
  • Consistent records of using commercial simulation codes (ANSYS Fluent and CFX) to model and simulate complex engineering problems.
  • Familiarity with Data analytics and Machine learning is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
