Simulation Software Engineer

Role Description & Responsibilities

Our team is challenged with developing state-or-the-art, high-performance, massively parallel algorithms for the well-known ABAQUS simulation finite element software. Areas of our development work include iterative and direct linear equation solvers, eigensolvers, and new linear dynamics and sub-structuring functionality. The successful candidate will work with the top-class software that delivers ultimate performance, scalability, and maintainability to enable scientist and engineers to simulate with high fidelity complex models of products and nature.

Qualifications

Education Level : PhD in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.

Background :

• Background in computational solid, flued, or structural mechanics.
• Good understanding of the finite element method.
• Background in applied mathematics specifically, in computational linear algebra.
• Proven programming skills. Good understanding of C++. Experience with Fortran is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced programming techniques in particular, high performance computing and parallel programming
  • understanding issues and bottlenecks associated with large-scale algorithms
  • familiarity with heterogeneous computing environments

• Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate in a team structure.
