Job Description
- Define simulation software and system requirements
- Coordinates supplier activities
- Responsible for developing simulation system through requirements development, validation, design, and verification activities including qualification and systems level testing
- Provides technical oversight and coordination across multi-disciplinary teams that interface with the electrical power system
- Technical oversight of junior engineers
- Develop effective approaches to evolving schedule and cost objectives.
- Works under minimal oversight or supervision.
- Acts as liaison with technical leaders in other design and manufacturing disciplines.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Computer or Electrical Preferred) with 15 or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant experience
- Experience coordinating with suppliers
- Strong computing and scripting skills
- Experience with multiple programming languages (C, C++, JavaScript)
- Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall
- Able to develop and interpret technical and test specifications.
- Ability to make technical decisions and provide recommendations.
- Ability to employ design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods
- Experience acting independently to develop optimized technical product, cost, and schedule proposals.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to explore beyond your previous experience
- A natural leader and problem solver with demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Part 25 regulatory certification requirements
The Base Salary Range for this position is $144,000 - $180,000. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives/equity, an open PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
To conform to U.S. Government aerospace technology export regulations (ITAR and EAR), applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
