Your Role: Site Procurement Associate
The Site Procurement Associate position is a crucial role responsible for all procurement activities, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials and services. This role encompasses both MRP and NPM procurement, requiring the associate to handle diverse purchasing needs while supporting Global Procurement Process Transformation and Elanco's growth initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of US Site Procurement, the associate will collaborate with stakeholders within the Winslow Site and other Elanco sites in the Americas, acting as a liaison and key member of the Site Procurement Team.
Your Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire purchase order lifecycle, from creation and release to delivery, invoice payment, and order closure, serving as the primary contact for any site procurement needs.

Act as a strategic partner to various site functions, including Manufacturing, Capital, and Maintenance, providing procurement expertise and support for their material and service requirements.

Analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities, leading local sourcing projects from strategy development and supplier selection to contract negotiation and ongoing relationship management.

Utilize SAP for efficient procurement processes, including purchase order creation, delivery tracking, and inventory monitoring, ensuring timely and accurate procurement operations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, effectively manage invoice discrepancies, and actively participate in global procurement initiatives to support overall procurement goals.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelorās degree in related field, or 5 years equivalent experience in cGMP manufacturing environment or other regulated industry.

At least 3 years of experience in Site Procurement or equivalent Purchasing experience.

A strong understanding of purchasing concepts and strategies and overall Supply Chain operations in a manufacturing environment is needed.

Ability to create and/or modify processes or procedures to coincide with best practices.

Proficiency with computer systems
