ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Operations Support Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations support, coupled with expertise in maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services. The Operations Support SRE will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our production environment and providing support to our engineering and operations teams.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and reliability of our production systems

• Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence

• Develop and maintain tools for automation, monitoring, and alerting to improve operational efficiency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new services and features, ensuring reliability and scalability from the outset

• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours as needed.

• Continuously analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and scalability

• Document processes, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and training

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience

• Experience in operations support, systems administration, or related roles.

• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar

• Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

• Certification in cloud platforms or relevant technologies is a plus

• Understanding of streaming concepts and technologies is a plus
