Infosys is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
Must have skills and experiences:
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, defining SLO, tracking and reporting of SLA and SLI.
- Strong Dynatrace experience.
- Must be able to install and onboard applications on Dynatrace.
- Experience creating dashboards and alerts in Dynatrace & Grafana, provide recommendations.
- Experience in any scripting language such as Bash, Shell, Python or Java scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge on Phases of SRE, Availability, Reliability and Resiliency
- Should have DevOps experience, strong understanding about setting up CICD tools.
- Working experience in any cloud environment, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (GCP is preferred)
- Perform coding/configuration, testing, implementation and documentation on solutions developed including design specifications.
- Ability to extract, analyze, and report the data.
- Strong attention to detail when identifying data relationships, trends, and anomalies.
- Thinking through long-term impacts of key design decisions and handling failure scenarios.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to more junior developers to include delegating and managing tasks, as appropriate.
- Deep understanding of technology like Kafka, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Tomcat, RDBMS, NoSQL databases
- Expert in existing applications supporting the business area. Able to serve as a key resource to ensure the system is performing up to requirements.
- Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
