What You'll Do
- Operate, monitor and maintain high availability for our business applications.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Comply with internal security and patching requirements.
- Collaborate with the Product team, including Product Managers and Product Owners, Sales, Customer
- Success and additional stakeholders to deliver value to the business.
Must Haves
- BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required.
- 5+ years of hands-on SRE experience.
- Proficient in Linux/Unix, Networking, Puppet, F5 tools - such as load balancing and WAF, VMware.
- Proponent of the Agile culture and mindset with the desire to lead the team to follow Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent teamwork capabilities.
- Strong background with operating systems, storage devices, virtualization, and networking.
- Thorough knowledge of DNS, Internet protocols, web servers, and load balancing technologies.
- Must have ability to analyze complex issues at a detailed level.
- Must have desire to work in a team environment - yet be self-directed, proactive, and action-oriented.
- Must have excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have experience building and maintaining Unix and Linux Systems.
- Must have experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, AWS
- Must have a working familiarity with provisioning, management, orchestration, deployment, monitoring, and continuous delivery.
- Must have strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Bash, Python, Perl, and Ruby.
- Must understand the basic concepts of version control (Git, SVN).
Extra Points for any of the Following
- Source code control management systems (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub)
- Atlassian tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket)
- Proficiency in overall system design, system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
- Experience working in financial services
- SOC2 and PCI compliance/audits
- Experience with Cloudflare, SFTP, Nagios, Grafana, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Salt, Security tools such as Qualys, Sentinel1, Storage management, Data center hardware such as Blade Servers.
- DBA experience (Oracle)
