Salary Range: $130,000.00 - 145,000.00

What we are looking for:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be a self-starter who consistently demonstrates initiative and drive, manages implementations, changes, simplifies the environment to increase reliability, reduce technical burden, provides exceptional support that works with and elevates the broader team. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize critical tasks and project/epic level work.
As a highly skilled and experienced member of our Cloud Operations team, you will be contributing your experience as a technologist focused on implementing best practices and optimizations for cloud infrastructure operations, and DevOps practices that enable our SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) to go faster while ensuring our Customer Focused SaaS Services are Optimized. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient, secure, and scalable utilization of cloud services, primarily leveraging AWS technologies. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving our cloud operations and optimizing DevOps strategies and practices. You will work with other Cloud Operations team members to implement optimization by automation measures, improve monitoring and observability, while ensuring the highest levels of reliability, performance, and stability.
What you will do:

  • Accountable for ensuring that all cloud applications/services and environments are available 24/7 through proactive application performance monitoring, alerting, and predictive failure analysis
  • Ensure the security of all cloud environments through monitoring, event correlation, patching, security mitigations, and proactive process improvements.
  • Partner with development teams to continually improve services, deployments, stability, and availability through well-architected solution deployments, release procedures, and enabling cloud optimizations that empower our SDLC to become more resilient.
  • Focus on automation, self-healing, infrastructure orchestration, configuration management, leveraging IaC for infrastructure and environment improvements
  • Contribute and participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, security, and incident response planning and activation


What you'll need:

  • Curiosity and possess a tenacity for learning, mentoring, and continuous improvement
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated production enterprise SaaS experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Platform Engineer with AWS and microservices
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
    • Demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and optimizing AWS services and cloud architecture best practices including security, networking, high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with Kubernetes in AWS (EKS), Containers and Container Orchestration, and distributed data store (Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK) are highly preferred
  • Coding experience using one or more high-level languages, such as Go, Python, Powershell
    • Terraform is a Plus
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or DevOps-related certifications are highly desirable
