The Opportunity:

The Open Lending leadership team is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in striving to support mission critical systems related to the Lenders Protection platform. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that keep our mission-critical services up and running. You will work closely with a team of talented developers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure our systems are highly available, scalable, and secure.

What You'll Do:

• As an experienced SRE, you will work to ensure our monolithic and microservice applications are efficient, highly scalable, reliable, and monitored constantly using automation to alert the engineering staff to potential production issues.
• Development and implementation of observability tools to support critical systems and meet customer SLAs for the Lenders Protection platform
• Deliver continuous improvements to core application systems running Java Enterprise applications in a monolithic and Azure Kubernetes infrastructure
• Apply core DevOps principles across the systems and engineering teams to support Agile processes for Continuous Delivery across multiple environments and data centers
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues

What You Bring:

• Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
• Experience building cloud solutions in Azure Cloud/Azure Kubernetes
• Experience delivering automated solutions with IaC/CaC/GitOps tools, e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform/TerraGrunt, ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize, Nexus
• Experience implementing and supporting various observability tools, e.g., New Relic, OpenSearch/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, Splunk, Sentry.io
• Experience implementing and supporting key application platform tools for developers, e.g., Vault, Kafka, Cert-Manager, Selenium Grid
• Experience in delivering and supporting highly secure infrastructure and applications to meet the demands of SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance
• Experience working with Agile tools to manage engineering team initiatives and efforts, e.g., Jira, Confluence
• Deliver 24x7 support for critical systems through the utilization of communication and alerting tools for fast response times, e.g., Jira Service Desk, OpsGenie, Slack
• Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
• Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
• Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude
