Site Reliability Engineer:

Who you are

We are looking for an well-versed Site Reliability Engineer to help us build scalable systems that maintain reliability, optimize performance, and improve our development environment. You will be responsible for setting up a modernized infrastructure at Zello, provisioning systems and services, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs. After your first year, you will

• Own observability, alerting, and diagnostic review in all environments

• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of Zello’s services

What you'll do

• Run the production environment by monitoring availability, taking a holistic view of system health, and deploying updates and fixes

• Provide primary operational engineering support for Zello’s platform and services

• Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems, databases, and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

• Continuously seek to improve product reliability, performance, scalability, and security

• Develop scripts to automate product operation and deployment

• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

What you'll bring

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• At least three years of working experience as a site reliability engineer or a similar job

• Proficiency in Linux

• Experience in the software development process using tools and languages like Python, MongoDB, Shell scripting, MySQL, and Git

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS or GCP, is preferred

• Problem-solving attitude and flexible mindset
