Site Reliability Engineer - CloudOps

What you can expect

We are seeking an exceptional Site Reliability Engineer to join our CloudOps organization at Zoom. You will be responsible for building and evolving our Cloud Foundations Platform, which empowers our development teams to efficiently provision and manage resources across our multi-cloud environment. This is a unique opportunity to apply your software engineering expertise and passion for platform engineering to create a world-class internal platform that drives innovation and productivity across Zoom.

About the Team

The CloudOps organization at Zoom is responsible for building and evolving our Cloud Foundations Platform. Our team helps empower our development teams to efficiently provision and manage resources across our multi-cloud environment.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on platform engineering and cloud infrastructure.

• Have experience with at least one programming language, in addition to scripting languages

• Have expertise of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform), understanding of infrastructure automation principles, and exceptional programming skills in Python.

• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Be able to participate in on-call shifts and incident management and work after hours/weekends for application releases/deployments.

• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.

• Have knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for cloud infrastructure.

• Have familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in an iterative environment
