Site Reliability Engineer Devops and Cloud Orchestration

Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer Devops and Cloud Orchestration. This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team during the build and test phases.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Beaverton, OR or will be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, defining SLO, tracking and reporting of SLA and SLI.
• Experience creating dashboards and alerts in Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace or Grafana,
• Experience in programming language(s) such as SWIFT, Golang, NodeJS
• Working experience in any cloud environment, AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge on Phases of SRE, Availability, Reliability and Resiliency
• Working experience in any cloud environment, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud (GCP is preferred)
• Should have DevOps experience, strong understanding about setting up CICD tools including Kubernetes and Docker
• Deep understanding of technology like RDBMS, NoSQL databases
• Perform coding/configuration, testing, implementation and documentation on solutions developed including design specifications.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and report the data.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying data relationships, trends, and anomalies.
• Thinking through long-term impacts of key design decisions and handling failure scenarios.
• Serve as a coach and mentor to more junior developers to include delegating and managing tasks, as appropriate.
• Expert in existing applications supporting the business area. Able to serve as a key resource to ensure the system is performing up to requirements.
• Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
