Site Reliability Engineer - Intern

Job Description

Copart is seeking a SRE Engineering Intern with a background in Networking. This position will be part of a 24/7 Global Network Operations team that monitors and provides L1/L2 support to Copart's global network infrastructure.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Progressive knowledge of monitoring protocols such as SNMP, Netflow, Syslog etc.
• Knowledge in different types of monitoring methodologies i.e agent and agentless checks.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco/Fortinet platforms and technologies including but not limited to the following:
• Catalyst series switches 6500, 4500, 3700, 3800
• ASA firewalls 5500, 5500-x Series
• Meraki MX Firewalls, Meraki MR Access points
• OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP
• Any connect VPN, Site to Site VPN's, DMVPN, GRE/IPSEC VPN.
• Standard ASA firewall services -- ACL's, Static/Dynamic/Policy based NAT.
• FG-100E, FG-200E, FG-2500E, FG-500E, FG-60E, FortiSwitch
• Proven competency and knowledge in the following areas are a BIG plus
• Working knowledge using linux/unix based systems
• Scripting/Programing/Automation-- Perl, Python, PHP CLI, Ansible
• Front end scripting languages, libraries and frameworks such as Java, Javascript, Angular JS, Flask etc.
• Be flexible and be able to handle competing/changing priorities.
• Very strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
