Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team. As an SRE, you will work closely with experienced engineers to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems. How you'll make an impact:

• System Monitoring & Incident Response:

  • Monitor system performance and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

  • Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, working to restore service as quickly as possible.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

• Automation & Infrastructure Management:

  • Assist in automating repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

  • Support the management and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.

  • Help manage cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

Experience you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 1+ years of experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.

• 1+ years of experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Bash).

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Understanding of monitoring tools and concepts.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

• Understanding of network concepts and protocols.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
