About the role

The Site Reliability Engineering team in CaptivateIQ operates horizontally across the engineering organization supporting our development teams by providing them with the tools and processes they need to operate in a frictionless manner. We provide the infrastructure needed to run our production platform and are responsible for the reliable and secure operation of that platform. We own the observability that will give us prior warning of impending issues and will take the necessary action to mitigate those issues.

Automation and infrastructure-as-code enable us to put efficient repeatable processes in place and we have the flexibility and foresight needed for us to ensure we are working where we are needed most.

We are primarily interested in candidates who are located in the Central or East Coast US time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Help the engineering team to deliver safe reliable code to production to meet product requirements.

• Design develop and maintain our infrastructure as we grow to take on more customers and more complex use cases.

• Develop monitoring and dashboards to ensure visibility into all aspects of our application’s performance and stability

• Implementing systems that are highly available scalable and self-healing on the AWS platform.

• Document everything so your findings turn into repeatable actions; automate everything.

• Create runbooks and incident response plans to respond to issues quickly and efficiently

• Ensure CaptivateIQ adheres to its compliance and security requirements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role

• Familiarity with security deployment and management for AWS

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform

• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills

• Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration tools (ECS Nomad Kubernetes)

• Some experience with scripting skills (Bash Python)

• Sharp attention to detail solutions-oriented and a user-centric focus

Nice to have:

• Experience in building scalable reliable web applications

• Experience with PostgreSQL and RDS

• Experience with Redis and ElastiCache

• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. HIPAA PCI)

• Experience with SOC2 audits and controls

$126000 - $169331 a year

CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills relevant experience education work location market conditions and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation equity and other benefits.
