Your Role and Responsibilities
The infrastructure running industries like transportation energy insurance banking or healthcare is quickly changing as the world’s relationship with technology evolves. Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with the latest and most significant of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
As a Site Reliability Manager you will be responsible to provide overall leadership and direction for a team of storage oriented SREs as part of a large-scale production IT environment.
We’re looking for a strong leader able to manage and motivate a team of IT professionals. Responsibilities will include managing an SRE team which supports a global SaaS offering and ensuring the day to day functionality of the SaaS environment is stable. It will also include maturing the SaaS platform with responsibilities in cost control compliance and capacity planning. You’ll be working in a fast-paced exciting and globally distributed environment monitoring maintaining optimizing and improving our systems while working with a seasoned group of intelligent engineers and developers from around the world

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Resource should have 12-16 years of experience in SRE Leadership
• Strong leadership and people management skills working across multiple geographies.Preferred technical background in a related IT area – storage and infrastructure
• 3+ years management experience in an SRE or IT Ops role
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud/DevOps engineering and/or Linux administration
• 5+ years of experience in a software development and delivery role
• Experience with at least one major public cloud provider or large scale private/hybrid cloud using container orchestration
• Experience with a modern configuration management framework (Ansible Puppet Chef etc.)
• Production experience with one or more monitoring frameworks (Nagios Prometheus etc.)
• Strong scripting skills in at least one language (BASH Python Ruby etc.)
• Experience with source control management such (git subversion etc.)
• Understanding of software development life cycle and delivery process
• Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring that commitments and timetables are met
• Ability to partner with internal stakeholders to design operational solutions
• Goal oriented forward thinker that can provide solutions for complex technical problems.
