Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) – Networking

Job Summary: As a Site Reliability Engineer I (SRE) you’ll combine software and systems engineering to build and run large- scale massively distributed fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Rackspace's managed service offerings & customer deployments have reliability and uptime appropriate to users' needs and a fast rate of improvement while monitoring and validating capacity and performance. You’l be focused on reliability scalability and the development of automation to manage a set of repetitive tasks at scale.

Work Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

• Support high complexity deployments and internal teams on an as-needed basis.

• Collaborate with other teams on tools for systems automation.

• Work in conjunction with multiple teams to ensure up-time and reliability of customer deployments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.

• 3+ years of networking experience with either Cisco or Meraki.

• Background working within a ticketing environment.

• Cloud based experience with either GCP or AWS.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work on several projects at once.

• NSX experience is preferred.

•The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $82300 - $120670.

•The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $87500 - $128370.

•The anticipated starting pay range for California New York City and Washington is: $95900 - $140580.

Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus commissions or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience licenses and certifications and specific work location.
