Eaton's Aerospace Group, Interconnect Technology Division (ITD) is currently seeking a Site Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA location. Relocation within the United States is offered for this position.

Position Overview:

The site Supply Chain Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing short and long-term sourcing strategies for continued cost reduction and value improvement across the global Interconnect Business Unit.

In this function you will:

  • Responsible for negotiating major supply base contracts and agreements with the goal to deliver best value.
  • Responsible for managing all production planning, inventory control, purchasing, receiving, warehousing & product shipping for the business unit.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to activities related to material flow.
  • Lead efforts to reduce costs and improve cash flow and asset management throughout the supply chain using lean flow principals.
  • Provide leadership influence to help assure facility goals are met related to safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs designed to reduce costs, improve inventory turns and optimize customer service levels.
  • Manage a team of salary and hourly supply chain employees to maximize their contribution to the success of the business and fully develop their talent and career potential
  • Manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to ensure production scheduling to support customer requirements.
  • Negotiate the lowest total cost of ownership for assigned commodities. Seek opportunities to leverage spend and volume to reduce future price increase risk, establish and execute cost reduction plans to meet material cost savings and manage cost containment.
  • Identify strategic, preferred, and developmental suppliers; selection of sources of supply obtaining maximum advantage in price, quality, delivery and in evaluating the stability and dependability of suppliers.
  • Coordinate the involvement of Eaton Strategic Suppliers in the development of new products and standardize the use of early supplier involvement tools.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Materials Management, Sourcing or Purchasing
  • Minimum of one (1) year of managerial or supervisory experience
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in supply chain management within an Aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience in hands-on design, implementation and operation of materials planning systems, production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics in a component-manufacturing environment
  • CPIM certification

Position Criteria:

  • Strong internal (within business) and external (customers, vendors, etc.) communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside of the enterprise.
  • Aware of supply chain trends influencing the aerospace industry.
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective intra and inter-departmental relationships at all levels. Facilitates consensus solutions to effectively resolve problems and issues.
  • Proficiency with MS office

The expected annual salary range for this role is $116,560 - $160,270.
