Vanguard Renewables is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Our closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. We are headquartered in MA, funded by institutional capital partners, and currently, have 20+ projects operating and in development in over 13 states. We have a plan to aggressively expand into other domestic markets.

As a Siting Manager, you will be a key member supporting installation, site activity, and management of sites. Your knowledge of site management will ensure planning and schedules are met.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for identifying and executing new projects.
• Manages the relationships between Vanguard and newly identified farmer partners.
• Ability to create and adapt approach and reporting to specific farmer’s needs.
• Capability to close agreements in a timely manner and create excitement for the project and Vanguard as a whole.
• Prepare, engage, execute, and effectively manage relationship with farmers with the end goal to close new business.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders including the public.
• Investigate preliminary reporting on local permitting and zoning requirements.
• Participate and assist in internal and external project meetings, reviews, and briefs.
• Assists in preparing reporting for internal and external requirements.
• Recognize issues and assess risks and review any findings with management.
• Recommend improvements and modifications.
• Provides constructive guidance and feedback to other team members.

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Construction Management/Site Rep Management and/or sales experience in wind, solar, gas/utility, construction, power generation, or other related construction fields.
• Ability to travel 50-70% of the time.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
• Able to work under pressure and deal with reactive situations.
• Good documentation control.
• Hardworking, reliable, and flexible.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to form strong working relationships.
• Possess good attention to detail and quality management.
• Strong leadership skills. Must lead by example.
• Ability to organize and direct staff and contractors.
• Proactive attitude and take pride in work.
