The Role: Â The Corporate Accounting SkillBridge Intern will assist in the monthly financial statement close process as well as work to ensure the integrity of the general ledger. The right candidate will receive an orientation to the Company and the software industry, be exposed to practical application of Accounting concepts, use of multiple systems, and have the opportunity to work with other areas of the company such as Financial Planning & Analysis. This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work, gain practical business experience, and learn about the software industry.
What you'll do as a SkillBridge Corporate Accounting Intern:
- Â Â Prepare monthly standard journal entries (e.g. Expense, Health Insurance)
- Â Â Cash Collections
- Â Â Review sales contracts to ensure completeness and accuracy of the sales booking policy
- Â Â Work with Netsuite Accounting Software to create and update Sales orders
- Â Â Create and send AR customer invoices
- Â Â Prepare invoices and track sublease rental income
- Â Â Complete monthly General Ledger Account Reconciliations
- Â Â Develop and implement continuous improvement projects
- Â Â Work with vendor portal access requests
- Â Â Audit Expense entries for Policy errors
- Â Â Ad hoc requests as needed
What you’ll bring as a Skillbridge Corporate Accounting Intern (required):
- You must be an active U.S. Service memberÂ
- A concentration in Accounting, Finance, or closely related areaÂ
- Interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail is a MUSTÂ
- Advanced computer skills, specifically Word, Excel spreadsheets, downloading, importing and exporting files, pivot tables and Google Suite
