Altus Receivables is seeking Small Balance Collectors as we continue to grow our team! Small Balance Collectors collect payments or communicate/resolve issues from debtors. The collector will collaborate with clients, sales and peers on delinquent accounts. The primary role is to contact debtors by phone, mail or email. Upon contact, collectors will examine the debtor’s financial situation, review documents/contracts, review/resolve disputes while working on establishing a resolution. They must adhere to all compliance requirements to resolve all cases until closure or escalation.Â
Job Responsibilities: Â
- Minimum of 80 outbound/inbound callsÂ
- Negotiate payment in full or secure a payment arrangementÂ
- Create a sense of urgency on non-paying debtorsÂ
- Work closely with Client Support Representative to resolve disputesÂ
- Maintain a positive attitudeÂ
- Remain respectful to debtors & peersÂ
- Strong work ethics and integrityÂ
- Prioritize time managementÂ
- Remain professional at all timesÂ
- Meet/exceed monthly phone, activity & fee quota’sÂ
Job Requirements:
- Collections, sales, telemarketing, customer service or call center experience preferredÂ
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry and strong computer skills, excel preferredÂ
- Critical ThinkerÂ
- Basic Math and Writing skillsÂ
- SalesForce.com experience a plusÂ
- Strong attention to detail and goal orientedÂ
- Ability to deescalate adverse situationsÂ
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsÂ
- DependabilityÂ
Compensation and Benefits:
- $12.98 per hour PLUS commission and bonuses (average commission ranges between $400 - $600 monthly)Â
