We are looking for an SMB Sales Manager to lead a US-based team of SMB Account Executives. The team is focused on educating and evangelizing the Amplitude mission to help companies build better products. As a member of the SMB team, you will help refine our strategy to attract even more customers as well as expand our existing customer base.Â
Responsibilities:
- Lead your team to successfully achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas through proven leadership, strong business acumen, problem-solving and consultative selling skills
- Establish and monitor KPIs that align to your team's business plan around pipeline generation and delivering predictable revenue
- Coordinate with other departments on technical, business and deployment issues
- Hire, train and motivate your sales team, including providing regular coaching and mentoring for personal development and professional advancement
- Develop and refine tools for monitoring and providing regular reporting on success and performance improvement
- Leverage Salesforce.com to track and report team forecasts, sales activities, and pipeline management to accurately forecast and grow sales
- Work with Marketing, Product, Growth, Enablement, Sales Operations, and Customer Success to create the best customer experience possible
- Create and close opportunities with SMB accounts.Â
- Become an expert on Amplitude's products and conduct discovery calls, customized demos, and presentations to prospective customers
- Effectively sell the value of Amplitude to key stakeholders within the account while navigating a complex sales cycle
- Collaborate well with internal resources including SDRs, Solutions Consultants, and Customer SuccessÂ
Requirements:
- You bring a minimum of 4 years in sales and at least 1 year leading a sales team selling software products
- A proven track record of exceeding quota
- Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders within organizations as well as experience with navigating negotiation, legal, and procurement processes
- Experience managing team pipelines with both fast-moving transactional deals as well as longer-term strategic larger deals.
- Experience leading "hunting" focused teams driving new logo acquisition and closing growth business
- Must have demonstrable experience in coaching a sales methodology ("Command of the Message" and Meddicc preferred), enabling the value selling process, and the creation of sales enablement programs that focus on competitive differentiation and execution
- Experience helping a team sell a platform with multiple products and navigating through multiple buyers across an organization
- Proven leadership qualities, including selecting and developing staff, communicating a vision and inspiring teams
