SME - ASP.net Developer

Yorktel is currently seeking a conscientious, well-qualified, and resourceful employee with expert-level knowledge of ASP.net. This person will serve as a Web Developer for the Social Security Administration. The individual selected will be responsible for migrating an existing ColdFusion application to ASP.net. This application is used for managing public inquiries received via mail, phone, or email. 10+ years of experience with ASP.net a must. Knowledge of ColdFusion a plus.

Responsibilities

• Migrate an existing ColdFusion application to ASP.Net
• Develop enhancements based on new requirements
• Document work processes and procedures for maintaining it
• Train SSA staff on the new changes/enhancements
• Participate in briefings with SSA management and staff officials on workloads, project status and findings

Required Knowledge

• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
• Comprehensive and extensive experience in software development using ASP.Net
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying Client Server, Web-Based, distributed end-to-end enterprise applications
• Experience in developing code for an Oracle and MS SQL database application
• Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience in migrating an application from Cold Fusion to ASP.Net
• Experience in creating Web Forms, User Controls and Custom Controls using ASP.Net
• Expertise in UI design and development using ASP.Net
• Expertise in Web-Development technologies like HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, XML, JavaScript
• Knowledge of Backend programming (Oracle, Stored procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers) and imports and exports of Data
• Experience in gathering customer requirements and functional requirements and converting them to technical requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively express concepts, recommendations, and quality assessment findings in clear, concise, logical terms
• Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with team members and other SSA components in a professional and productive manner

Skills and Additional Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Web Development with a focus on ASP.net
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Knowledge of ColdFusion a plus
• Experience in solving complex information management challenges
• Experience with web design and front-end development
• Contingent on passing SSA Suitability and a drug test
