SME Technical Analyst

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking aseasoned SME Technical Analyst to provide technical, analytical, and programmatic support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) in the investment and monitoring of R&D funds. This position is onsite at a Government location(s) in the National Capital Region (and telecommuting where approved). The candidate demonstrates mature judgementrequired to interface with seniorGovernment personnel and external stakeholders including other Government agencies, academia, and industry.The candidate also coordinates administrative functions and process improvement.

This position requires a candidate withexperience leading and performinga variety of tasks to support Government leaders, providing:

• Science, engineering, technical, management, and professional support
• OUSD(R&E) research, analysis, and strategic planning support for OUSD(R&E) space, cyber, defensive and offensive weapons platforms, resilient communications, battle management/C3, and logistics
• Specialized functional expertise support, g., acquisition, logistics, military science, statistics, space, cyber, defensive and offensive weapons platforms, resilient communications, and battle management/C3
• Technology transfer, technology transition, public/private partnership support
• Developing graphical materials and documents
• Performing records management
• Recommending resolution to problem sets/challenges

Required Qualifications:

• MS/MA degree in a relevant discipline
• Ten plus (10) years of related experience
• Top Secret security clearance
• Experience supporting US Government clients
• Experience coordinating across multiple organizations
• Background in C5ISR and EW systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Joint operations
• Fifteen (15) years of progressive experience, 15 of them in program and project management
• D. in a relevant discipline
• Active TS/SCI clearance or DCID 6/4 eligibility within the past five (5) years

This position is contingent upon award of a contract expected in November 2022 supporting a US Government customer.
