SMT Operator

Description: o Reporting structure: • Reports to SMT Supervisor o Overall position description: • Responsible for the operation of Paste Printers, Pick and Place Machines and Reflow Machines. Responsible for hand placement of components o Essential functions of the job: • Load Machine Feeders with correct components • Operate paste printers for Re-runs • Operate Pick and Place machines • Perform Reflow operations using correct profiles • Hand place correct components • Complete daily log book and first article inspection logs. o Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Understand and execute instructions from SMT supervisor • Basic computer skills o Required education and experience: • Prefer a high School Diploma or 6-12 months experience is similar fieldRequirements: o Essential functions of the job: • Load Machine Feeders with correct components • Operate paste printers for Re-runs • Operate Pick and Place machines • Perform Reflow operations using correct profiles • Hand place correct components • Complete daily log book and first article inspection logs. o Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Understand and execute instructions from SMT supervisor • Basic computer skills o Required education and experience: • Prefer a high School Diploma or 6-12 months experience is similar field o A description of the physical demands: • Ability to stand and operate machines for 2-hour periods • Ability to Hand place very small components • Adequate vision to check quality of pasted boards and hand placed smaller components o A description of the work environment. • Climate controlled, clean environment with some machine movement and exhaust noises. • VIRTEX is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
