Snap Lab Product Designer, Wearable Experiences

Pixy is your friendly flying camera – pocket-sized and free flying, taking the magic of Snapchat and letting it fly.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join Spectacles, Wearable Experiences team!

What you’ll do:

• Conceive of innovative end to end experiences for AR wearables, create concept mocks and pitch those concepts

• Contribute to all stages of the product design, research and prototyping process

• Design end-to-end user flows for experiences running on wearable devices

• Deliver final assets, redlines, animations, and mocks to engineering or prototyping teams responsible for building them

• Regularly give and receive feedback on design and prototyping iterations

• Opportunities to showcase your work directly to the CEO

• Be a leader - Snap is a design-led company and as a designer you will be expected to lead projects and teams

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Expertise in designing and building delightful interactive experiences

• Ability to think creatively, lead ideation process on broad product areas

• Ability to create your own 3D assets with tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Cinema4D

• Ability to develop creative ideas that are targeting specific audiences or users

• Expertise in design-thinking and ideation process

• Passion for VR/AR and Spatial Computing

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Strong communication skills

 Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience

• 3+ years experience designing experiences for AR, VR, games, or mobile applications

• Proficiency in designing using Sketch, Figma, Illustrator, Principle, AfterEffects, or similar design tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with visual and motion design

• Experience with 3D design tools including Unity, Blender, Maya, or other similar tools.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams

• Shipped several AR/VR experiences

• Passion for Snapchat and Spectacles products!
