This role is designed for a highly experienced data engineering professional who thrives in building and optimizing scalable, cloud-based data platforms. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data pipelines and architectures that power enterprise-level analytics and decision-making. The position requires strong expertise in Snowflake along with deep exposure to modern data engineering practices across cloud and big data ecosystems. Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data engineering solutions using Snowflake and related technologies
  • Build and maintain automated data workflows using Python and Linux Bash scripting for efficient data processing and transformation
  • Implement and manage orchestration workflows using tools such as Luigi for complex data pipeline coordination
  • Work with Hadoop ecosystem tools and SQL databases to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and query performance
  • Deploy and manage cloud-based data solutions using AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and EMR
  • Monitor data pipelines using observability and alerting tools to ensure reliability, performance, and timely issue resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Lead technical initiatives, provide guidance to junior engineers, and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Requirements:

    • 5–10 years of experience in data engineering roles
    • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments
    • Advanced programming skills in Python and Bash scripting for automation and data workflows
    • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Luigi
    • Solid knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem tools (e.g., Spark, Hive) and SQL-based data systems
    • Strong expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, and EMR
    • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for data pipeline observability
    • Understanding of data architecture principles, including data lakes and large-scale distributed systems
    • Knowledge of CI/CD practices for deployment automation and testing
    • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring junior team members
    • Exposure to data governance, security practices, and compliance standards is a plus
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
