The Senior Director of HR Operations & Services will oversee and lead all the core operations and services in HR, which includes the following three sub-orgs: HR Administration, Employee Relations/Services & Culture.  Being the foundation of all that we do in HR, this position will lead and be responsible for re-imagining all the key processes and delivery of the main products and services that our business clients consume “outside-in”, i.e., from their perspective. Our business clients come in three distinct personas: the first being employees, then people managers (both front line and managers of managers) and finally, senior executives, which would include Sector and Division Heads, as well as direct report leaders to the CRO.  The Senior Director of HR Operations & Services will also focus on streamlining, connecting and automating the key processes.  Working alongside the direct report leaders of the above-mentioned sub-orgs, our colleagues in Growth and Business Applications, (Workday), the role will be responsible for connecting the workflows not only throughout HR, but throughout all relevant Sectors, across KB4.  The end result will be significantly improved client experience, with respect to speed, accuracy, quality, efficiency and UX. Â
Responsibilities:
- Identify the key, high impact products and services that each of the three personas consume from HR in partnership with the direct report leaders, Growth and Business Applications, and identify the key, high impact products and services that each of the three personas consume from HR
- Identify the processes that can be redefined by standard Workday modules, as per Business Applications guidance, and work to prototype accordingly with Growth
- Partner with Growth to process map the existing processes and look for efficiencies, automation, fewer hand-offs and assurance that all relevant Sector are included appropriately with respect to those processes that cannot be easily process-led by Workday while keeping the needs of the business clients in mind
- Build a culture of proactive communication/partnership
for HR Administration and Employee Relations/Services, and ensure that Finance/Payroll experiences HR as a proactive partner at the table - For existing employee HR queries, regardless of topic, look to enhance the experience, by using a single platform (ServiceNow) and build SLAs that are communicated up-front and adhered to
- For Employee Relations, further develop, inculcate and specialize the pure employment legal side of the work, in partnership our colleagues in Employment LegalÂ
- With respect to Culture, continue to develop a global mindset where there is partnership with the regional Culture Coordinators for an “80% global/20% local” approach, where we enable international and allow them to focus on engagement priorities relevant to their geo.  At the same time, inculcate both the DEI and Sustainability priorities into our Culture events, across all locations
- Partner with both Talent Acquisition Operations, as well as Compensation & Benefits to continue to improve processes and partnership
- Once US HR Operations & Services are re-imagined, look to do the same for International, where we leverage a similar 80/20 global/local approach. Â This will include the addition of in-geo resources in both EMEA and APAC over time
- Hire, promote, discipline, and terminate subordinate employees, or suggest and recommend hiring, promoting, disciplining, and terminating subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Human Resources Management, or other relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in HR operations and services reflecting increasing levels of responsibility and subject matter expertise
- Strong working knowledge and experience across all major areas of HR operations and services, i.e. Administration, Culture and Employee Relations/Services, i.e. understanding how they work together behind the scenes
- Extensive experience in client facing HR roles throughout the three business client personas, across key HR services and products, i.e. understanding our business clients needs and how they consume theses services
- Demonstrated ability to influence and develop strong cross-functional working relationships across HR and the company, including, but not limited to Growth, Legal, Finance/Payroll, Business Applications/IT, as well as external partners and leadership team
- Ability to think “outside-in” (i.e. starting with the business client) when leveraging a process minded approach to work
- High attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Exceptional ability in diplomatic and collaborative communication and partnership across Sectors and levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms to various audiences.
- Manage highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity, plus excellent business judgment concerning confidential matters.
- Experience with International reporting a plus
