ECS is seeking an SOC Analyst I to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a candidate to join the System Operations Center supporting a major Department of Energy Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. The primary mission of the department, Enterprise Service Management and Monitoring is to develop and maintain a big picture, end-to-end view of operational IT services.

Daily Duties:

Candidate will require to be flexible to work one of the three 24 x 7 shifts; day shift, swing shift, mid-shift.

Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Maintaining effective and efficient adherence to the Event Management Process. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Enhance existing process and procedures, observe and control the status and performance of system components, servers, and network facilities. Answer incoming problem calls from customer and internal sites and resolves associated tickets. Write incidents reports and document events. Follow procedures, provide updates, ask questions, take action, follow up on missing, incomplete or unresolved issues.

Required Skills:

  • Education: A high school diploma is required.
  • Required Skills: 2 years of related experience in related tasks and field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" Clearance.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Active DOE "Q clearance.
