Job Description

Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At NIKE, Inc. it's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

The power of sport is at the heart of Nike's DNA - with our mission to bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete* in the world. The Social & Community Impact (SCI) team fulfills this mission by helping the youngest athletes* realize their potential through sport and play. But today's kids are the least active generation, and girls move even less than boys. The Nike SCI team invests in partners who bring Made to Play to life, engaging our employees, partners, community organizations, experts, and consumers to move the world and get kids active.

The Social Community Impact Intern will report to the Director of Business Engagement, and collaborate with a wide variety of teammates across functions in SCI and the broader Purpose team. The role will focus on creating scorecards and tracking mechanisms against goals and commitments, as well as pitch in on several other projects in flight during the summer.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop new business cases and provide strategic recommendations for new programs and initiatives for Nike's Social & Community Impact team, working across corporate functions to get partner input, and deliver findings to team leadership.
  • Support key elements of the SCI strategy via participation in corporate strategic planning action items, dates, and gates.
  • Assist in key projects as needed across SCI and potentially connecting SCI initiatives to other elements of Nike's purpose portfolio.
  • Keep workstreams on track and share progress on weekly basis.

Qualifications and requirements
  • Expected graduation date of December 2023 or Spring/Summer 2024 from an MBA, Public Policy/Government affairs, or other applicable graduate degree program.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Interest in supporting community and social impact initiatives and getting kids moving.
  • Experience and expertise in the use of tools such as Microsoft Excel, Keynote, and Airtable.
  • Well-versed in digital and social media.
  • Ability to manage, problem solve and prioritize against multiple priorities.
  • Ability to deliver high quality work with exceptional attention to detail.

Nike requires all applicants for this position to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of hire, unless otherwise required by law. As an equal opportunity employer, Nike will make accommodations to individuals who cannot be vaccinated in accordance with applicable law.

NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it. Nike offers a generous total rewards package, casual work environment, a diverse and inclusive culture, and an electric atmosphere for professional development. No matter the location, or the role, every Nike employee shares one galvanizing mission: To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete* in the world.

NIKE, Inc. is committed to employing a diverse workforce. Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, or disability.
