The Role
As a leading operator in the rapidly growing and evolving cannabis industry, Green Thumb is seeking a creative, driven, and high energy individual to join our Communications team. The Social and Digital Content Manager will be responsible for managing Green Thumb's corporate social media channels and website, and building innovative and compelling content that drives awareness, engagement, and positive reputation. This includes planning, creating, and executing customized content for key company initiatives and cultural moments across channels, such as social media, internal newsletters, our intranet (ShareJoint), and external website.
A true team player, this individual will work collaboratively across functions to ensure alignment and timely delivery of consistent, authentic messages. The ideal candidate is a visual storytelling guru, in the know about all the latest social media trends, comfortable wearing multiple hats, passionate about cannabis, and hungry to join a team that works hard, has fun, and is making an impact.
Responsibilities
SOCIAL MEDIA + DIGITAL
  • Manage Green Thumb's corporate social media accounts across channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to continually measure and improve results such as followership and engagement
  • Create visual content in social apps (e.g., reels) or Canva and partner with the Creative team for support on larger initiatives
  • Build and moderate social communities through user interaction and message responses
  • Collaborate with Green Thumb brand and retail social accounts
  • Maintain and actively enhance Green Thumb's company website to ensure brand consistency as we grow and evolve, while positioning our voice as uniquely authentic

CONTENT CREATION / MANAGEMENT
  • Plan, build, and execute multi-channel content to strengthen Green Thumb's brand, ensuring content is fresh, relevant, and customized to resonate with each channel audience
  • Build and manage a content calendar for key internal and external communication channels
  • Support a variety of communication tactics including newsletters, town halls, community presentations, and employee engagement programs
  • Collaborate with internal business partners, including Social Impact, Marketing, Employer Brand, and Government Affairs, to support communication plans for various strategic initiatives and ensure aligned messaging across stakeholders and channels in a timely manner
  • Monitor the media landscape for the cannabis category and research industry trends and public perception to inform breakthrough communication programs to drive awareness of and positive reputation for Green Thumb

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of digital content management or social media experience
  • Proven success leading social media channels and developing digital content
  • Experience working cross-functionally, internally and externally, to develop content that aligns to the goals of various business units while executing in a timely manner
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently and cross-functionally with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness
  • Adaptive problem solver who effectively navigates change and ambiguity; decides and acts without having the picture totally defined; appropriately changes strategy in response to new information
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinking and strong writing skills to develop effective content and campaigns
  • Basic skills for visual content creation such as Reels in app or Canva

Additional Requirements
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
