SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNITY MANAGER OVERVIEW
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and posting engaging content across all Avant Gardner social platforms on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) together with the Senior Manager of Social Media, driving user engagement, brand awareness and audience growth.
- Manage a weekly content calendar together with Senior Manager of Social Media that can be shared with other departments.
- Create and produce content on a regular basis, both written and visual with
- Collaborate with Marketing team to cross-promote social efforts across email and the internet.
- Communicate and collaborate with event videographers and photographers for live posting during and after events.
- Work with media partners on exclusive content and amplification opportunities.
- Liaise with Programming, Marketing, and artist teams to coordinate artist/show announcements, pre-sales, on-sales, and event lifecycle marketing efforts.
- Funnel or escalate customer/client communications from managed communities to appropriate internal departments as required.
- Report monthly, quarterly on audience growth, trends and content performance.
- Provide oversight for event social media assistants as required during events.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- 3+ years experience managing social platforms and experience in music and/or nightlife
- Strong writing skills and can adapt writing skills to brand voice and nuances.
- Ability to work events outside of typical business hours.
- Willingness to work in an always-on environment and post on nights and weekends as required.
- An anything-is-possible attitude.
- Expert knowledge of all things digital and social media (across multiple channels).
- Able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Successfully liaise and coordinate with artist, operations, and production teams for on-site media captures as needed.
- Positive, self-motivated, detail oriented and proactive.
- Keeps up to date on social media trends, tactics and competition.
- Knowledgeable on programmed artists, culture, and music.
- Keen eye and attention to detail for visual assets and event content.
COMPENSATION
The annual pay range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000. Final compensation will be based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and overall experience.
