Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team on a contract basis (20 hours per week). In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to elevate our brand, grow our followers, and engage our community to drive awareness of Harness with developers and engineering leaders.Â
About The Role
- Manage and create content for Harness' primary and secondary social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram), adding up to a minimum of 10 posts a week.
- Support the visual design of content including captions and graphics.
- Partner with internal team members on campaigns, events, demand generation, and talent initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using relevant tools and metrics.
- Recommend social media best practices and strategies.
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends, discussions, and engagement opportunities.
- Foster and build relationships with influencers and thought leaders in the DevOps space.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager in the technology or DevOps industry.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with design software like Figma or Canva.Â
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
- Experience with social media platforms such as Sprout Social.
- Experience with social media analytics, requiring monthly and quarterly analyses.
Contract Details:
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Contract Duration:Â 6 months
- Location: Bay Area preferred, open to remote
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Â
