Job Description

The Social Media Content Creator supports the growth and engagement of the Perry Homes and Britton Homes social platforms. This position is responsible for the content creation and execution of the social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities on social channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute social media marketing content and day-to-day activities on social channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.
  • Create high-quality and engaging content (written, photo, and short-form video) that aligns with our brand voice and communication objectives.
  • Leverage strong writing skills to create compelling social media copy for captions and campaigns that drive engagement and maintain a consistent tone of voice with our branding.
  • Stay on top of social media and content trends to keep our content fresh and compelling, and our brand top of mind with audiences.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a monthly content posting calendar which is in sync with marketing campaigns, events and promotions.
  • Work to consistently increase our social media reach and engagement with existing audiences and develop strategies to identify and capture new audiences within our targeted demographics.
  • Enforce and/or carry out policies and best practices for all processes for all social media channels.
  • Create and execute posts per the content calendar and business plan on a corporate and regional level.
  • Monitor overall company sentiment across rating and review sites.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Advertising, Marketing or Communications preferred, or job-related experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in social media management required.
  • Proven track record of creating and using social media content to increase audience engagement, build brand equity, and drive revenue required.
  • Experience with social media technology such as Sprinklr, Hootesuite, SproutSocial, etc. is preferred.
  • Superior journalistic judgment, writing, research, and fact-checking expertise.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to effectively prioritize, communicate to stakeholders, and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and consensus building skills.
  • Photography experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
