Social Media Content Creator

Position Overview:

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for mental health advocacy? Do you thrive on camera and love connecting with audiences through compelling video content? If so, we want you to join our team as a Freelance Social Media Content Creator!

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing concepts, creating, starring in, and producing engaging videos for our social media channels each week. We’re looking for someone with a vibrant personality and a genuine enthusiasm for being on camera to host and film videos that educate, inspire, and engage our audience on mental health-related topics.

As a valued member of our Creative Collective, you will collaborate with a diverse community of young artists from various disciplines—graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and fellow content creators—who share a passion for making a positive impact in the mental health space. Your creativity and skills will play a crucial role in bringing our message to life through compelling video content!

Responsibilities:

• Bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table and help shape engaging content that resonates with our audience.

• Submit concepts for approval and then film, edit, and produce high-quality videos each week, ensuring they align with our brand and messaging.

• Stay in the loop with social media trends and incorporate them into your content for maximum relevance and impact.

• Tailor content for various platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, to optimize engagement and reach.

• Work closely with the marketing team to understand project goals and develop content that meets their requirements.

• Manage your schedule effectively to ensure all projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

• Film, edit, and produce high-quality videos tiny mic videos (if needed) interviewing the public on the street, on campus, in their local community etc., using miniature microphones about mental health-related topics.

Requirements:

• Strong experience and knowledge of TikTok and Instagram, with a proven track record in content creation.

• Genuine enthusiasm for being on camera, speaking on camera, and the ability to connect with audiences authentically.

• A portfolio showcasing your previous work that highlights your creativity and expertise in social media content.

• A solid understanding of mental health topics and a genuine passion for promoting mental well-being in the community.

• A friendly, approachable demeanor that shines through in your content.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

• Strong wifi connection and the ability to work remotely.

• Creativity and an understanding of the Gen Z cultural zeitgeist to resonate with our target audience.
