Are you ready to make a difference? Parallel is looking for a dynamic, creative, and experienced Social Media & Content Manager to join our team! In this role, you’ll create, lead, and develop Parallel’s content on social media channels and connect and interact with our community. Core responsibilities include social campaign content creation, strategy, and planning, day-to-day content management, creative concepting and execution, identifying social trends, performance reporting, and responding to social media comments.

What You’ll Do

Social media is an ever-changing field, so although you have some routine responsibilities, adaptability is critical in this role. This list should give you a good idea of what your day-to-day obligations will be:

  • Develop and execute innovative social-first campaigns
  • Content creation for emerging channels (TikTok)
  • Own and update content calendars
  • Own outreach, communication, and coordination with the creative team, creators, and partners.
  • Source relevant user-generated content and stories with other internal teams
  • Write and edit social media copy for posts and creative
  • Coordinate giveaways, live events, and other promotions with internal and external contributors
  • Answer to social media comments in a timely manner
  • Compile reports and recaps with valuable insights and learnings from the community
  • Perform administrative work such as invoicing and budget tracking
  • Coordinate the execution of our Ambassador program
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in social media marketing
  • Experience with social media content creation and campaign planning
  • Experience creating engaging TikTok content
  • Up to date on culture and trends
  • Knowledge of social media channels and how each can be leveraged
  • Ability to write and edit communications and articulate the brand
  • To be detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills
  • Ability to jump from the creative to the analytical side
  • Hunger to learn, grow, and succeed within a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Prior experience with social media management software (ex., Hootsuite, HubSpot, etc.)
