Job Description

What We’re Looking For:

edX is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help us continue to bring our social media strategy to life and expand our reach to new channels. As part of the Brand Strategy team, you will focus on assisting the Social Media Manager in implementing strategies to drive organic growth and engagement across edX’s social media channels by managing the social media calendar, scheduling and publishing posts, interacting with the edX community, and collaborating with our creative team.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  1. Manage and organize the social media calendar.
  2. Lead community management by interacting with followers and members of the edX community and identifying recommendations to optimize our community engagement strategies.
  3. Collaborate with creative teams to create social media content and develop marketing campaigns.
  4. Leverage social listening in performance reporting and as part of community management.
  5.  Assist Social Media Manager in expansion to new channels by conducting research and brainstorming content strategies.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • 1+ year of social media management or community management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of marketing strategy
  • Understanding of social media analytics
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn
  • Fluency in social media platforms, and keeps up with online trends and emerging platforms.
  • Sprout Social publishing and reporting (Preferred)
  • Experience with social listening tools (Preferred)
  • Ability to embody a brand voice across different mediums on social media (Preferred)
  • Ability to track performance, report findings, and make informed recommendations (Preferred)

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $45,000, with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
