Social Media Coordinator - Brazil – Betfair International

Reports to: Senior Social Media Manager

Location: Sao Paulo Role Summary

The Social Media coordinator will play a vital part in supporting the development and growth of our brand presence across social media platforms. This role works collaboratively across the social media team at Betfair to support the development of innovative, best-in-class content across all social media platforms with a focus on business results and brand awareness/engagement. The ideal candidate lives and breaths social, has a creative mindset, and is eager to learn and grow in the field of social media marketing. The role requires a social expert who is obsessed with emerging trends in social media and has the operational aptitude to enable them at pace. The ability to bring creative concepts to life, by working collaboratively with our in-house studio team and external collaborators alike, you’ll also be working with world class ambassadors like Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Rivaldo, as well as our clubs Cruzeiro and Vasco da Gama. This role will operate at non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Social Media manager in creation of all social media content creative briefs and manage projects from concept to activation in market for campaign across social media platforms.

  • A self-starter with enthusiasm for innovative ideas and thinking outside of the box.

  • Deliver best-in-class social customer engagement experience by monitoring and actively engaging with Betfair player’s and fan’s questions, complaints, comments, or praise as soon as possible.

  • Monitor and evaluate new and emerging social media platforms and provide regular updates to team leaders.

  • Adopt, maintain, and apply the brand tone and voice to social community engagement tactics in collaboration with copywriters to build, foster, and grow brand’s online communities.

  • Plan and publish daily content for social platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube), ensuring that all messaging aligns with monthly and weekly marketing goals and themes by partnering with internal and external teams.

  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly social media performance reports to social media team, broader marketing team and leader.

  • Accountability for Quality Assurance, ensuring all campaigns are subject to robust QA processes.

  • Demonstrable experience in managing social media channels.

  • Passionate about content creation and storytelling, with a keen interest in sports.

  • Experience and knowledge in short video production (TikTok, Reels).

  • Creative, innovative personality who is passionate about digital storytelling and community building.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and English is essential.

  • Video production skills are a bonus.
