Casual Fridays is a digital marketing agency specializing in social media management, strategy, and paid social for hotels & resorts, and hospitality brands.

We are looking for a smart, creative, and driven Social Media Coordinator in Dallas, Texas, for a work-from-home position.

You have a passion for social media and love to create interesting content across social media platforms. You get strangely excited by a creative video, beautiful photography, or a new social media feature. Copywriting is your jam. You follow social media news and trends to better yourself. You don't shy away when a new platform emerges - you're the first to test it. Oh - and exceptional customer service makes you smile.

EXPERIENCE

Our ideal candidate has a passion for social media, strong organizational skills, and great attention to detail. Experience working in a fast-paced environment or a customer service role is preferred. Creativity and excellent time management skills are a must. If you can't spell and don't have great attention to detail, seriously, don't apply. You'll work closely with other team members to ensure everything happens like clockwork for your clients.

ROLE

This is a full-time work-from-home position based in Dallas, Texas, with occasional client travel. No two days are alike at Casual Fridays, and you're an integral part of the team and will be responsible for executing multiple social media content calendars. Working closely with Account Managers, you will implement a social media strategy across multiple platforms. You'll spend time copywriting, finding and tweaking images and videos, and interacting with users across multiple social media channels. You'll be assisting in the creative execution of client marketing ideas and initiatives and using software tools to pull reports.

You will work in a high-pressure environment, occasionally under very tight deadlines, and effective time management will be critical. Did we mention that spelling and grammar are extremely important? Yes, we did.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing multiple social media content calendars for Casual Fridays clients
  • Implementing social media strategies and tactics that align with client goals and objectives
  • Developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms, including written, video, and photo content
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels
  • Collaborating with designers or creatives to provide attractive and informative content
  • Occasional capture of social media content via smartphone
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
  • Assisting in community management and social media escalations
  • Influencer marketing outreach and project management
  • Assisting Account Managers with client communication and representing Casual Fridays to local and national clients across all U.S. time zones
  • Working independently and managing your time effectively
  • Keeping up to date with trends and changes in the social media sector

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, Journalism, or English or equivalent experience
  • Excellent creative copywriting skills for social media
  • Social Media Marketing experience (1 year minimum)
  • High level of familiarity with online social channels
  • Familiarity with appropriate social channel analytics and how to interpret and communicate them
  • Thorough understanding of the planning, creative, and production processes needed to implement a successful social media presence
  • Knowledge of the current social media landscape and ability to speak to trends
  • Must be tech-savvy; comfortable with smartphone apps and technology
  • Efficient problem solver with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Confident in presenting ideas and results to clients and peers
  • Facebook Ads experience a plus
  • Agency or startup experience
  • Hotel, hospitality, or tourism experience is a plus
