JOB DESCRIPTION
The Social Media Coordinator is entrusted with the pivotal role of managing the church's social media presence. This position is integral in ensuring that our message of hope is communicated effectively and resonates across various platforms. The role requires a deep understanding of social media dynamics and an ability to align the church's vision with our overarching ministry goals. Reporting directly to the Senior Social Media Specialist, the coordinator will collaborate closely with team members to maintain content quality and brand consistency.
This position reports directly to the Digital Connections Manager.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Content Coordination: Drive content initiatives by scheduling, overseeing content creation, and coordinating with contractors and team members to ensure timely and accurate content dissemination.
- Analytics Support: Bolster the efforts of the Senior Social Media Specialist in their analytical endeavors, ensuring a cohesive approach to data-driven decision-making within the team. Aid in extracting insights and making suggestions for all social media efforts based on analytics.
- Streaming Setup Supervision: Oversee the setup and execution of all streaming activities, ensuring technical excellence and content quality to extend the church's reach across digital platforms. Collaborate with social media team members and coordinate with contract employees as necessary to ensure comprehensive coverage and the seamless execution of streaming events.
- Event Engagement: Actively participate in the Live Online Service Experience, including live streams, monitoring comments, and engaging with the online audience.
- Creative Input: Provide creative input on content, ensuring it resonates with our audience and adheres to industry best practices and Lakewood Church brand expectations.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to various situations with a positive outlook.
MINISTERIAL DUTIES
As an employee of the church, you are a key component of our legacy of faith. Your role extends beyond professional responsibilities to embodying the spiritual leadership of the church. This includes:
- Regular attendance at church services and classes.
- Serving as a Prayer Partner or volunteering in any ministry of the church.
- Engaging in community outreach as needed by the church.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A firm commitment to the church's vision, values, and beliefs.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with diverse personalities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Keen analytical skills, focused on social media metrics and insights.
- Availability to work during service times, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- A passion for social media, brand management, and emerging media technologies.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social media coordination or a related field.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of social media coordinating experience
- Some professional training preferred.
