Social Media Graphic Designer

The Donovan Group is seeking a skilled freelance graphic designer who can work exclusively in the Canva platform. This professional will primarily focus on the creation of graphics for social media, helping public schools and districts engage in visual storytelling.

This would be a contract position to start. However, as we continue to grow, we may find a need to hire a full-time employee to fill this position.

Note: Experience using the Canva platform is a requirement for this position. 

Core Responsibilities: 

• Using Canva to create a series of attractive, well-designed graphics to accompany social media posts for Facebook, Twitter/X, and Instagram on a weekly basis. 
• All editable Canva files must be shared with the Donovan Group team so that other staff can make revisions based on client requests.

Key Attributes:

• Highly competent graphic designer with an eye for detail
• Ability to remain on task and complete assignments and projects in a timely manner while working remotely
• Strong communicator who is responsive and replies to emails in a timely manner
• Open to input and feedback and willing to adjust tactics based on preferences of the client
• Interest in education communications and helping public schools and districts tell their stories and engage their stakeholders

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience as a professional graphic designer
• Active subscription to Canva Pro
• Submission of a resume and design samples

After you apply, we will review your application, resume, and samples and determine if you may be a good fit. If so, we will ask you to complete an example assignment, which may include creating one or more social media graphics using Canva.
