THE ROLE

As a Social Media Intern, you will play a key role in shaping our online presence and engaging our target audience through various social media platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include managing social media accounts, creating engaging content and developing our content calendar, and assisting in the development of marketing collateral. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management and marketing. 

Join our team and contribute to our goal of providing exceptional hospitality experiences to travelers! This internship will be between 8-12 weeks working 30 hours per week. 

AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL
  • Maintain and update our content calendar for all social media profiles, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor and engage with our social media audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, reach, and engagement 
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends and platforms, and propose innovative ideas to enhance our social media presence to reach new audiences 
  • Conduct research to gather relevant information and trends in the hospitality, travel, and business transient industry, and incorporate them into content creation for customer segments 
  • Create compelling and visually appealing content for social media posts, including text, images, videos, and infographics
  • Develop a content calendar and schedules to ensure consistent and timely posting across platforms
  • Collaborate with brand team to align social media content with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Assist in the creation of marketing collateral ( including brochures, flyers, presentations, promotional materials, etc.) and help proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing collateral to produce visually appealing and effective marketing collateral
WE ARE LOOKING FOR 
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas to create content 
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of SEO and online marketing concepts
  • Proficient in using social media platforms and tools, including scheduling and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of the hospitality, travel, and business transient industry

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $27.00
