Job Description
About the role:
We are looking for a social media intern to support our content and social team. We need people who love pop culture and have a constant pulse on what is trending. You will be responsible for but not limited to projects around content sourcing, content creation, campaign support, merchandising, talent sourcing, talent onboarding, and/or talent promotion.
What you’ll do:
- Assist Social Media Manager with day-to-day tasks such as scheduling, managing social requests, and updating the social calendar.
- Assist with sourcing completed Cameos for editorial social content.
- Ideate and execute social ideas and plans.
- Participate in community management and content seeding across social channels.
- Leverage insights and competitive analyses to help position and curate content within our marketing hubs and homepage.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, brand, and talent teams execute plans
- Build channel specific marketing best practices for talent/talent team (launch playbook, charity playbook, excludes halo talent drops)
- Develop and execute strategy to improve efficiency of talent sharing
- Create and launch recurring content series:
- New and Noteworthy (Tues & Fri)
- Reactivated (Tues & Fri)
- Being familiar with the following platforms is a plus:
- Notion
- Slack
- Google Business Suite
- Monday.com
- Canva
- Brandfolder
- Sprinklr
- Linktree
What you’ll need:
- Ability to work 20+ hours per week starting mid February.
- Looking to learn. You are an open, transparent and clear communicator and willing to learn every day.
- Left & right-brained. You are able to effortlessly switch from data and reporting into helping craft creative social activations.
- Passionate about pop culture, creators, and fandom fan connection. Good understanding of the creator & consumer landscape along with current trends and innovations within the industry.
- Self - starter. An optimistic-minded, self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and knack for problem solving.
- Not afraid to roll up your sleeves. Being able to demonstrate your willingness to get your hands dirty and stay in the fray, when the need arises, is what being at a startup is all about.
