How will this role impact First Command?

The Social Media Intern is responsible for assisting in the implementation of the organization's social media initiatives. The ideal candidate is tapped into what's trending in social, has a passion for content creation (video and photography), and wants to learn more about the financial services industry.

What will you be doing?

• You will work closely with the Social Media Specialist to help plan and capture content for our social media pages.
• Tasked with participating in content ideation
• Perform social media market research daily
• Attend select events on behalf of the Social Media department to collect and post content
• Moderate advisor-generated content across multiple platforms
• All other duties as assigned

What skills/qualifications do you need?

Education

• Must be a full time undergrad/grad student in good academic standing.
• Upcoming Junior or Senior in college pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, social media, creative writing

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be available to work at Home Office at least twice a week, 15-20 hours each week.
• Strong writing skills.
• You have an innate sense of social trends, but also work outside the box and have an eye for original content.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all institutional policies.
• Familiar with multi-social posting through programs such as Sprout Social
