We are looking for a Social Media Lead to join our growing corporate Communications team, holistically executing external communications across the company. This role offers the opportunity to drive strategy, storytell and create engaging content, lead community management, collaborate with business leaders throughout the organization, and contribute to our growing marketing efforts. This role is also responsible for managing Tempus’ CEO’s social media channels. 

What You'll Do

  • Be the voice of the brand, fostering community engagement and conversation through tailored messaging for physicians, biopharma companies, researchers, media, and employees
  • Responsible for developing and executing all organic and paid social content across platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Collaborate with leaders across business units to identify stories that shape Tempus’ brand identity on social
    • Iteratively test, evaluate, and pivot strategies to maximize awareness, acquisition and engagement metrics
    • Partner with the Marketing team to develop the paid and organic social media strategy for integrated campaigns
    • Collaborate with the Brand design team to design creative visual assets for all social content
    • Proactively monitor the digital industry landscape through social listening to find and respond to relevant real-time engagement opportunities 
  • Own the paid social media execution for campaigns, including strategy, audience targeting, budget/bid, content development, and reporting 
  • Responsible for quarterly, yearly, and campaign-specific analytics and reporting that feature key learnings and recommendations to improve future content and strategy
  • Continue to develop an employee engagement strategy that encourages Tempus employees to leverage their social media channels to amplify company messages
  • Oversee strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the company and CEO’s social media channels to expand brand awareness to key audiences

 Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in social media, copywriting, content development, and data analytics reporting from Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media platforms
  • BA in Communications, Journalism, PR, or Marketing
  • Ability to proactively, independently identify opportunities for campaigns and make recommendations that integrate with other Communication/Marketing activities and larger business goals
  • Experience in developing social media strategy, driving customer service engagement, managing reputation, expanding customer loyalty, amplifying brand messages, and reporting meaningful metrics 
  • Track record of building strong relationships with members of cross-functional and affiliate teams, including executives
  • Knowledge and use of various social media management and analytics tools (ex: Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Bitly, etc.)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Corporate marketing experience preferred, either in a startup environment, larger company, or agency
  • Experience managing social media for a healthcare company preferred, but not required
