Social Media Manager
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, talented social media manager to administer our social media accounts. You will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing and overall business goals.
You'll stay up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You have excellent communication skills and will be able to express our company's views creatively, while leveraging analytics insights to ensure high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
Position Summary:
- Serve as the enterprise-wide subject matter expert for social media and manage the company's presence across multiple social media platforms.
- Perform research on current trends and audience preferences.
- Help set the company's social media strategy, defining audiences and setting business goals and KPIs for each platform. Execute programs for consumer and B2B audiences to increase brand awareness, improve reputation and engage target audiences.
- Partner with creative teams to develop high-performing content within budget. Create and execute the social marketing calendar. Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content, including original text, blogs, photos, videos and company news.
- Recruit and manage influencers to tell stories and reach new audiences.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
- Collaborate with other teams, like Brand, Sales, and Human Resources, Customer Service and Compliance, to ensure brand consistency while maintaining quality, authenticity and accuracy.
- Track and report on performance, including social, SEO and web traffic metrics. Provide ongoing insights and recommendations to effectively deploy creative resources and budget to meet business objectives.
- Provide social media best practices and policy guidance to Human Resources, Customer Service, Client Services and other internal departments.
- Stay abreast of current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and apps. Provide thought leadership to help stay ahead of the curve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or relevant field.
- 5+ years Social Media management experience in both strategy and hands-on execution in Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and blogs. Additional platforms a plus.
- Experience delivering high quality content (text, image and video) within a specified budget and with maximum efficiency. Ability to clearly articulate creative, budget and timeline requirements to collaborators.
- Familiarity with web design.
- BS degree in Marketing or relevant field.
- Hands on experience in WordPress, Liferay or other CMS.
- Knowledge of online marketing channels and proven capability to work cross functionally with digital marketing, creative, analytics and technical/development teams.
- Analytical skills - experience measuring and making recommendations using performance measurement tools and metrics.
- Experience in home services, insurance or financial services a plus.
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Calm under pressure, with ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
