Position Description

Finless Foods is looking for an energized and motivated social media manager who will work directly with our Communications Director to assist with taking our social media game to the next level. The ideal candidate should be collaborative, creative, data-driven, and highly organized, with a strong understanding of all digital platforms and current social media trends. Additionally, they should be proactive, a strong team player, and possess excellent communication skills. You work quickly and adeptly, bringing a level head, positive attitude and a sense of humor. The ability to adapt to processes, meet deadlines, and work with multiple stakeholders across business units within Finless Foods is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and help manage content distribution across all of Finless Foods social media accounts
- Maintain a detailed and organized social publishing calendar
- Manage an ongoing pipeline of social content projects, collaborating closely with internal and external creative teams on the development of custom social assets
- Bring a creative mind to frequent brainstorming sessions to pitch new social content ideas and campaigns that you will lead from ideation to execution
- Identify and execute creative distribution tactics to innovate how we use social media accounts, promote our content and engage with our audience
- Regularly refine and optimize content and formats to iterate and use social insights and data
- Manage day-to-day communications via DMs, comments, and user generated content to drive overall brand engagement and experience
- Track and analyze monthly and quarterly data to ensure the content produced helps to achieve growth and engagement goals, suggest strategy improvement to adjust to learnings in order to hit set KPIs, creating social recap reports and presenting key findings to executives and team
- Collaborate with Communications team to develop innovative social creative and ensure the best standards are employed across all assets
- Study competitor strategies, industry trends, and new product features to ensure Finless stays ahead of the curve
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience producing custom social content and managing brand social accounts, preferably in food, lifestyle, and/or entertainment
- Experience overseeing and creating visuals and videos optimized for sharing
- Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each
- Experience directly supervising social media professionals
- Willing to provide samples of prior work
- Ability to see the broader picture of social as it relates to the alternative food landscape
- Keen eye for visual storytelling through photo and video, with ability to use photo and video editing tools to self-serve on content for distribution (working knowledge of Photoshop/Premiere)
- Strong collaborator who takes direction well and is a team-player
- Ability to pivot quickly and adapt easily to strategy or deadline changes
- Strong attention to detail and a stickler for grammar and maintaining brand voice
- Great communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts and strategies, and speak to all levels of management
- Ability to work against tight timelines with flexibility and creative thinking to adjust strategies and content development when necessary
- Ability to mine and leverage social and site data to develop content quickly against social trends
- Collaborative thought-leader with a demonstrable commitment to fostering an inclusive and productive work environment
- Ability to quickly understand goals and priorities, and to develop a clear strategy for inspiring and engaging our audiences
- Ability to see the big picture and build a storyline across mediums, while also paying attention to detail
- Experience working collaboratively and supportively up, down and across with marketing and communications team, policy, impact, legal and all levels of personnel and ability to establish strategic partnerships and collaboratively work on content throughout the company
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft, Google Docs, Slack and Asana
- Start-up food and/or sustainability and experience launching brand/product is a plus

Position Details
- Annual Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This position involves working primarily in an office [performing ad-hoc administrative tasks on a regular basis]. As such this position requires the ability to stand or sit at a desk or bench, the use of computers and standard office equipment, and the capability of lifting 15-20 pounds. The position requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent time management, as well as communication with other team members.
