JOB SUMMARY: The Social Media Manager works alongside the Social Media Director in regards to social media trends, developing engaging content, using various platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create compelling and innovative content (including text, image, and video) that aligns with brand voice, resonates with our target audience, and encourages interaction and sharing
- Manage day-to-day social media activities including content creation, posting schedules, and social media monitoring
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and appropriately apply that knowledge to increase the effectiveness of social media campaigns
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team ensure consistency in messaging and brand image across all channels
- Analyze and report on social media performance metrics, using insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement
- Work cross-functionally with other departments for content production and development
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging platforms to recommend new approaches to reach our audience effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) required
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns required
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices for each platform
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Meltwater, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in content creation
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and draw actionable insights for optimization
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
