Job Overview

This position is responsible for developing, executing and maintaining a clearly defined social media strategy in a manner that supports Hubbard Chicago radio brands, digital agency and clients including but not limited to special projects, sales programs, campaigns, and features to coincide with the marketing, brand identity and overall personality of Hubbard Chicago. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing, managing and contributing to all social media channels in an effort to achieve the group marketing and revenue objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and execute the Social Media Marketing Calendars for WTMX, WSHE, and WDRV on a daily basis.
  • Monitor Social Media content performance, and give positive and constructive feedback as needed. Resolve departmental conflicts as needed. Issue discipline when warranted.
  • Assist in managing Social Media for clients as part of Hubbard Chicago's Social Media Management business model as assigned.
  • Work closely with promotion, marketing and programming staffs to assist in integration of social media initiatives into broader on-air and marketing campaigns.
  • Work with station on-air talent to help educate them on Social Media best habits, trends and practices.
  • Work towards targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of social media tactics and programs. Develop benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of social media programs and implement improvements as needed. Participate in and initiate online Establish department protocols, procedures and avenues of communication to help create an environment of consistent, quality workflow.
  • Continually analyze and evaluate both existing and potential social media activities and strategies. Conduct, gather and analyze market research to determine social media opportunities and competitiveness.
  • Work in a team environment with Social Media Department and Sales to identify, interpret and capitalize on social media trends.
  • Manage community conversations across a variety of channels. Measure the success of social media activities and report the results to management.
  • Work with Head of Integrated Sales Creative Services, Director of Digital Content and Digital Content Producer, when applicable to manage and execute client based social media messages into radio station social media channels.
  • Assist in contributing to content related projects as assigned such as video, blogs, photo galleries, live chats, etc. Works on other digital sales projects as assigned.
  • Attend and participate meetings as needed.
  • Build good working relationships with co-workers, clients, vendors and the general public. Attend social media trainings as needed within Hubbard Chicago offerings.
  • Acts in a professional manner when representing the company.
  • Reports to work on time and works established schedule/hours. Ability to work other hours or alternate schedules as needed. Ability to attend off-site events and meetings as needed to develop content, outside of normal business hours.
  • Work in accordance with Hubbard Broadcasting's Use of Information and Technology Policy and Appropriate Workplace Behavior Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years experience in digital marketing/social media capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability for developing content for social media - a power user of all social media tools including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
  • Must possess a considerable knowledge and stay up to date on social and web development technologies, design software, mobile devices, social media platforms and web tools required.
  • Strong design background, strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Excellent copywriting skills, ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video). Ability to ensure the proper tone is adhered to in various communications.
  • Experience working as a team member with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of individuals. Previous management or leadership experience a plus.
  • Ability to work on short deadlines and high-pressure situations as well as work a flexible schedule, including at times, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment. Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients. Ability to handle and keep confidential information.
  • Valid drivers' license and clean driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.
