About You  

The Social Media Manager is a creative storyteller and is a key player for the growth, engagement and reach for goop’s social media presence. You will help drive marketing strategies through a social content lens. You are resourceful, pay close attention to detail, take initiative and are a self-starter. 

 About The Role 

In this role, you are responsible for copywriting across all organic social channels, as well as the community management and engagement. You will work cross functionally in your day-to-day and develop inspiring ways to drive engagement through storytelling, copywriting, and the social community.  

Copywriting: 

  • Craft elevated and quip-free copy across all organic social channels that presents authority in all verticals, authenticity/brand voice and consistent storytelling. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute social copy that connects through editorials, product launches, brand moments, etc. 
  • Technical and narrative-driven messaging to help bring product focused units to life through storytelling.  
  • Proofread new and existing copy to ensure content meets brand and editorial standards. 
  • Brainstorm with social and cross-functional teams to develop insight-driven social-first concepts that help meet our brand goals.   

Social Community Management: 

  • Deploying social posts in line with brand voice, while interacting with our community of followers. 
  • Partner with customer service teams to resolve all client issues. 
  • Leveraging a large photo & video archive to post impactful content. 
  • Demonstrating subject matter expertise throughout, from planning & strategy to content creation & community engagement, with the goal of optimizing reach, retention, and revenue. 
  • Building content calendars & tracking metrics across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. 
  • Partner with PR/influencer team on all influencer marketing programs. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in social media, marketing, communications, or public relations preferred or relevant experience. 
  • 3 to 5+ years’ experience in social media management, content marketing, and / or brand marketing. Entertainment, celebrity, or consumer brand experience is a plus. 
  • Experience directly owning the social media channels of a mid-to-large brand, including copywriting or review and calendaring. 
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and up to date on industry + platform trends (Instagram, Reels, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) 
  • Must be comfortable in a high pressure, fast paced business environment, be a driven contributor and work effectively and collaboratively with team members. 
  • Quick learner, when facing new problems; open to change; enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything. 
  • Experience with social media reporting tools. 

FAQ  

  • Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 + Equity. This is a full-time, exempt role. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the area of the position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
